As winter approaches, starting officially on October 29, travelers from Heathrow will be presented with many new destinations.
Heathrow’s new offerings include the UK’s sole direct connection to Lima, Peru, an expansion in ski destination flights, and increased competition for hotspots like Dubai and the Maldives.
The airport, recognized as the world’s most connected, now serves 239 destinations across 89 countries.
From chasing the winter sun in Dubai to uncovering the lesser-known marvels of Turkmenistan, every traveler can find something to suit their taste.
A Variety of Destinations for Winter
Ross Baker, Chief Commercial Officer at Heathrow, expressed excitement about the expansion:
“We are thrilled to see 11 new airline routes commencing at Heathrow this winter. As our passenger numbers continue to grow, we are delighted to offer more winter sun options. With more global ski destinations than any other UK airport, passengers can enjoy even more choice this winter.”
Direct to Lima with LATAM Airlines
Starting December 2, passengers can fly directly to Lima, Peru, from Terminal 3.
This route opens unprecedented opportunities for both leisure and business travel to the ‘City of Kings.’
Ski and Culture in Salzburg via Lufthansa
With flights beginning December 16 from Terminal 2, the Austrian city of Salzburg, famous for its ski resorts and rich cultural history, including being the birthplace of Mozart, becomes readily accessible.
Germany’s Lake Constance with Lufthansa
Friedrichshafen, starting December 16 from Terminal 2, offers travelers the opportunity to explore Lake Constance, the largest inland body of water in Germany.
Sunny Escapes to Dubai and the Maldives with Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic is introducing flights to Dubai from Terminal 3 beginning October 28.
