Left-wing politician Sahra Wagenknecht has sparked controversy with her comments about rapes during the war in Ukraine during a televised discussion about the conflict.
Sahra Wagenknecht, who was taking part in the program “Hart aber fair,” said that “wars are always associated with war crimes” and that it was “pointless” to talk about “which side commits more war crimes.”
She also demanded negotiations with the Kremlin and a halt to arms deliveries to Ukraine, which caused heated discussions among other participants in the show.
Sahra Wagenknecht has previously commented about Russia’s intentions in Ukraine, which have also attracted criticism.
